Not all homes are created equal. Our WightFibre Hub is capable of delivering WiFi across most homes without the need for additional WiFi extenders. However, for larger homes, or homes of an awkward shape, it may sometimes be necessary to boost the WiFi signal inside your home with one of our WightFibre Extenders.
As an example, this may be the case for Terraced properties, where our WightFibre Hub is installed in the front of the property and due to the long distance to get to the back of the house, the WiFi signal at the back of the house may not be as strong as you need it. In this instance, taking an additional extender to place in the middle of your property is likely to give you the WiFi strength you need in the back of your property.
Another example could be a duplex property, where our WightFibre Hub is installed in the front of the property on the ground floor and may not reach the bedroom at the back of the house on the 1st floor. In this instance as well, adding one or more WightFibre extenders is likely to give you the WiFi strength you need.
Extenders can be added to your package after installation as well so if you are not sure whether you need it or not, feel free to spend a couple of months with just the WightFibre Hub. If you find the WiFi signal is not strong enough somewhere in your property you can then easily add an Extender or 2 by calling our Sales team on 01983 240 240 who will add it to your package and organise for it to be sent out to you.
