iPlayer launches a major update to it’s apps
Today, the BBC launched in it’s own words, a “massive update” to its BBC iPlayer App on the Android, iOS and Windows Phone. The update will bring up-to-date channel pages, clearer listed categories and themed programme collections, making usability that little bit better! The app also comes with a fresh new user interface which should make it easier to browse and find the programmes you want to see. It can also display subtitles on downloaded shows for the first time. There are areas of the app which remain unchanged however, such as favourites, downloads and search, but there are plans in the pipeline to add new features such as live rewind, continuous play and cross-platform playback. These plans don’t appear too far off either!
With all these updates to the iPlayer, we’d recommend one of our super-fast broadband packages to get the most out of the service.
Apart from BBC iPlayer, what apps do you use for watching tv and films on? Let us know 🙂
